Thanks again ...

To Stefano and family for our great stay in Como.

Many Thanks ...

To Andrea and Sarah for showing us around Rome and making sure we got to the airport on time. It was wonderful to be there with you.

The Coliseum

The marble for this chapel for a past Pope

Was "aquired" from the coliseum

Romulus and Remus - being mothered by the wolf in the beginning

In the foreground and the ruined Coliseum in the background

Hey, come on ...

Lavinia, Andrea, Valerie and Sarah - showing their best side.

The Glory of Rome

You can almost imagine how it must have been

With 6000 other people !

All throwing coins in the fountain.

A quiet moment at the Trevi Fountain

No Pictures, No Video !

Still, we managed to sneak in a shot of the Cistine Chapel anyway.

The Vatican

Valerie, Lavinia and I. A very busy trip - we saw all of Rome in three days.

The Vatican Museum

Very Beautiful - we spent 4 hrs there

A painting of Venice 100's of years ago

In the Vatican Museum. And Venice is much the same today.

The Pieta in St Peter's Basilica at the Vatican

Incredible - it just takes you breath away.

The old city of Bergamo

The "Citta Alta" - High City is a magical place and can be reached by funicular railway.

The Cathedral al in Bergamo

Bergamo shouldn't be missed if you have to catch a cheap flight there (to Rome for instance). The old city sits above the new one on a walled hill. Great place if you like green countryside and not too many other tourists.

Ah, this is a nice view of lake Como

From the balcony of the historic Mansion - Nice !

Stefano's beer glass collection

All aquired "En Nero" in Como bars

No Valerie !

The dog only sells tickets for biscuits - not Euros

Some of the lakeside Villas that Como is famous for

Very expensive but nice to look at on the boat tour. A charming place for a quiet weekend visit.

Thanks to the Fumagalli's for hosting us in Como

Thanks for the good food and company. It was lovely.
Here are Stefano and his mother and father. Inside is Daniele - working for the family !

Congratulations to all on getting through the first term

And here's to a great Easter Holiday - No Studying !

Greetings from Trieste

A great place to visit if you get the chance and you can even cross into Slovenia in 1/2 an hour.

Let this be a reminder

No sliding tackles on artificial turf - especially when it's full of sand.
