Civen International Masters in Nanotechnology

CIVEN is an association between the University of Padova and the University Ca’ Foscari of Venezia devoted to the promotion of research and training activities in the field of nanotechnology. Founded in March 2003, it is fully funded by the Government of the Veneto Region. CIVEN is part of Veneto Nanotech, the Italian high-tech cluster of nanotechnologies applied to materials.

What is Nanotechnology ?

Nanotechnology
In recent general usage, any technology related to features of nanometer scale: thin films, fine particles, chemical synthesis, advanced microlithography, and so forth. As introduced by the author, a technology based on the ability to build structures to complex, atomic specifications by means of mechanosynthesis; this can be termed molecular nanotechnology.
